8 best laptops for court reporters:
1: ASUS ZenBook Flip 13 OLED Ultra-Slim Convertible Laptop:
The first laptop on the list of best laptops for court reporters is the ASUS ZenBook Flip manufactured especially for office works.
ASUS Company is one of the best laptop companies who are creating good quality products. Even I have an ASUS laptop and it is working for 1 year without any issues.
ASUS ZenBook Flip 13 laptop attracted me by its look, design, and performance due to which I am buying this product. I hope that it will give me great experience as compared to other laptops in the market with the same facilities but at high prices.
This product price is affordable therefore consumers can buy it easily. It makes consumers happy because save their money and get the full facility at a low price.
This ultra-slim portable laptop has 13.3 inches screen size which is enough big for working and watching movies or videos in high-quality resolution.
It has 1920 x 1080 pixels of max screen resolution. Screen resolution is the most important feature for me when I select any good product because it gives crystal clear images so that we can see everything clearly even when you are using it in bright sunlight too.
Its processor speed is 4.7 GHz core i7 11th Gen, which is best for office work, multi-tasking, heavy gaming, etc. The memory speed of this laptop is 4267 MHz which helps to start applications very quickly than traditional laptops within 2 seconds maximum time.
Laptop Processor speed, memory speed, and hard drive are the first three things that I consider before buying any laptop. Without considering these three things, no one can use them effectively whether they are students or office workers.
If you work in an office or as a court reporter, the ZenBook is among the top 3 laptops that you should consider buying.
2: Lenovo IdeaPad 3 light and thin laptop:
This laptop is one of the lightest laptops ever manufactured by Lenovo Inc.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 is a 180-degree rotatable laptop with touch screen functionality. Lenovo incorporated most of the benefits of an ultrabook in their 3rd generation of IdeaPad laptops, with the three different models having slightly different combinations of features.
With a weight of just 4 pounds, this model is lighter than most 17-inch laptops on the market. The battery life lasts up to 8 hours on a single charge, which makes it useful for court reporters who are moving between courtrooms the entire day.
This model has 2 USB 2.0 ports, 1 USB 3.0 port, and an HDMI port; while these may not be enough for some users, others will appreciate the ability to easily connect to other devices using these ports.
The 14-inch display has 1366 x 768 resolution and is supported by Intel’s UHD Graphics Processor. This model has a Core i5 1035G1 1 GHz processor and 12 GB of RAM.
The laptop includes a DVD-RW drive, so it is easy to watch movies or listen to music when in a public setting without access to an internet connection or network card.
Lenovo is one of my favorite laptop manufacturers due to their high-end machines in much affordable price tags. But how about you?

It’s finally happened: A 2-in-1 laptop that feels as good as a normal laptop and doesn’t cost $1,000. The ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 is the first such device I’ve used that gets it right, with an excellent keyboard and touchpad, great stylus support, and a gorgeous display.
If you’re looking for the best budget laptop for court reporters, there might not be a second option after this VivoBook.
This isn’t your typical blurb about a gadget. There are no specs listed here either; nothing about processor speeds or battery life or any of those things journalists usually love writing about before getting into the real nitty-gritty of the review.
Instead, my opening sentence tells you all you need to know about the VivoBook Flip 14, right away. It’s a laptop that feels as good as any normal laptop and costs much less than other 2-in-1s on the market.

The Lenovo Flex 5 14″ 2-in-1 Laptop would be an excellent choice as a family computer, students’ first laptop, or second machine for work and play – offering great value for money throughout.
5: MSI Prestige 14 A10SC-021 14″ UHD Ultra Thin and Light Professional Laptop:
MSI is one of the leading manufacturers of gaming laptops. When it comes to its professional laptops, you will always hear the name MSI Prestige 14.
MSI believes that there are no limits to power, performance, quality, or personalization features. MSI has created a laptop (Prestige) that can be used for work as well as gaming by its ultra-thin body & lightweight design.
The Prestige gives you an advantage over others with amazing features like the 7th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB RAM, 1TB NVMe SSD, and Nvidia GTX 1060 Max-Q graphics card with only 1mm thickness.
The Prestige laptop boasts 4K UHD NanoEdge IPS anti-glare LCD display with 100% AdobeRGB color gamut. It also supports HDMI 2.0 and USB Type-C for 4K video output and data transfer at the same time
Are you a fan of MSI laptops? If yes, the MSI Prestige is one of my favorite laptops on this list.
6: Microsoft Surface Laptop 4:
In a bid to compete with Apple, Microsoft has just announced its newest product – the Surface Laptop. The device is available in 3 colors: platinum, burgundy, and cobalt blue.
The new laptop is quite similar to the Surface Book where it runs on Windows 10 S operating system. This means that you have to stick to apps from Microsoft Store while you can use other software on macOS or Chrome OS.
The Surface Laptop is made from a single piece of aluminum and has a 13.5-inch touchscreen display with a 3.4mm bezel, which makes it visually similar to the Apple MacBook Pro.
The Surface Laptop 4 features up to an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor that boosts speeds up to 3.8GHz, 16 GB of RAM (upgradable to 32), 512GB SSD storage (upgradeable up to 1TB),
11 hours of battery life with a built-in power supply (rare these days) with an integrated graphics card with its own 2GB GDDR5 VRAM, and an HD screen. All of that packed into a sleek platinum color with contrasting black keys makes this laptop stand out when compared to other laptops in its class.
This device comes with a built-in desktop-class Intel Core processor and can last for 14.5 hours on video playback. It also features an ‘exclusive Alcantara material,’ which Microsoft claims gives it a luxurious feel when users type or interact with the trackpad on their new laptop.
The Surface Laptop also comes equipped with two USB 3 ports, one traditional headphone jack, no fan whatsoever due to cooling technology inspired by NASA, and Microsoft’s signature trackpad.
According to Engadget, “Microsoft says Alcantara is used in high-end sports cars and luxury interiors,” so by using this in its laptop, it would encourage users to take their Surface Laptop everywhere they go.
7: 2020 Apple MacBook Pro:
The seventh laptop on our list of 8 best laptops for court reporters is occupied by the MacBook Pro 2022 edition.
Although the MacBook Pro is a little bit expensive than its counterparts, as most Americans like MacBooks, so, we added this laptop to our list.
The only major differences between this year’s model and last year’s mannequin are that the keyboard backlighting shall be replaced with an OLED strip and USB Type-C ports should replace all existing Thunderbolt 3 ports.
Apple first implemented OLED in their iPhone lineup and now they believe it is time to utilize this screen technology in a notebook computer. This one little change could allow them to drastically reduce production costs for this laptop since they don’t need to manufacture two models anymore. However, just like iPhones, macOS will need to support OLED and this may take some time.
The display will still be Retina but with a glossy Touch Bar at the top of the keyboard and four USB-C ports (one on each side) for charging, data transfer, displays, and anything else USB-C can do.
Two of these ports will be Thunderbolt 3 capable of speeds up to 40Gb/s while two will just be standard USB-C. Since Apple hasn’t put an SD card reader in this model yet, they’ve probably found a way to integrate one into the body of MacBook Pro 2020 without increasing its weight or thickness too much.
This MacBook Pro comes with an Intel Core i5 10th Gen processor along with Intel Iris Plus Graphics 645 making it suitable for gaming, office work, and personal use.
I used to use Apple laptops, but due to their increased price, I haven’t bought any in recent years. But if your pocket is heavy, you can get this MacBook Pro is $1739 and experience the real machine.
